Cecil Franklin Sharp, 64, passed away at Christiana Hospital on Sunday, November 28, 2010 from a long-term illness.
Cecil was born on February 15, 1946 in West Chester, Pennsylvania; he was the son of the late John A. Sharp, II and Evangelist Irene J. Sharp.
He grew up in Kennett Square, PA and attended Kennett High School during which time he was a member of the varsity basketball team. He graduated in June of 1965. Upon graduation, he had a career which spanned over 20 years at NVF.
Cecil enjoyed competitive sports, fishing and reading. He had a great sense of humor and had a great affinity for a wide range of music.
He is survived by two children, Darryl J. Sharp Rebecca of Bloomington, MN and Marcus A. Sharp Natasha of Framingham, MA; four grandchildren, Stephon & Sage of Bloomington, MN and Carlos & Rosa of Framingham, MA; two brothers, Michael A. Sharp of Baltimore, MD and Eric W. Sharp of Newark, DE; two sisters, Josiah L. Goodwin of Camden, NJ and Joanne Prigg of Washington, DC; two aunts, Blanch Wells of Kennett Square and Edna Jackson of West Grove; one uncle, Calvin Jackson of West Chester and many nieces, nephews & cousins with a host of friends.
One brother, John A. Sharp, III, predeceases him.
